Ranked #9 Seattle ThunderTune into Gosports.com May 3rd- 5th and watch Thunder battle at the 2nd stop of the NXL US Tour in Texas. Seattle Thunder has a brand-new look this season and refined roster that immediately made a positive impression at the first NXL event in Las Vegas. They had a rollercoaster prelims, alternating wins and losses, but advancing into Sunday with a record of 2-2, beating the ML Kings and DMG and dropping games to Ac Dallas and X-Factor.They have 9 players on their squad and everyone saw time on the field at the first event. But a starting five emerged that took the lion’s share of the spins. On the D-side the stand out attacker is Harrison Frye, who started to get attention last season in his rookie year as someone who could be counted on to push forward and break open points.Adam Gomez is back with the squad after some time away from the game and his timing looked better than ever attacking up the center. Team owner Corey Field, still playing on a bad knee, looked fast and aggressive and led the team in kills.Their new pick up Brandon Unger, who came over from Aftermath in the offseason, looked poised and handled his duties competently on a tough snake side. Veteran Mapp Chhim has proved over the years he can be can counted on to produce kills in clutch moments.Though Thunder did drop their Wild card round game to Revo by one point, their 9th place finish is far cry from the last place they took in Vegas at the beginning of 2018. Thunder will be a team to look out for in Texas.
